Welcome Friends!

I know how important it is to be listened to, heard, and validated... especially in the sometimes lonely and very often misunderstood world of SPD.  Therefore, I have created this as an opportunity for you to BE heard and validated!  Although I cannot diagnose nor treat your child via the internet, there ARE indeed questions I can answer for you, or direct you to the appropriate resources.

That being said, this site is being read by tens of thousands every month all over the world, and I do at times have difficulty keeping up with the emails (and newsletters and getting new information up, and, and...).  I want to continue to put up more information every month and grow this site until I can't find one more thing to say (don't worry, that will never happen). My time can be limited and I don't want that to affect YOU, waiting too long for an answer.  But I also don't want to give up my personal contact with you, however, this is what I need to suggest you do BEFORE you email me.

  • Please read the descriptions at the bottom of the home page for the main pages on my site.  Go to the pages that interest you or might answer some of the questions you have.

  • If you do not find the information on those pages or the links provided, please visit my site map.  Scroll through the listing of all the pages on my site and click around for a bit to see if you find some of the information you are looking for.

  • Next, go to my site search page, type in any topic you are looking for and click on the circle for my site.  This will bring up a listing of all the pages on my site which have that particular topic in them.

  • Make sure you have taken a look at my guest articles page AND the newsletter back issues for even more great topics and information that may interest/help you.

  • Lastly, go to The SPD Q & A and see if your question has already been asked and answered.  If it hasn't, the Help Line is the place to ask!  You will get answers from myself and potentially thousands of other visitors to my site.

If you STILL don't find what you are looking for, I am here!  I want to hear from you; your stories, your concerns, questions, comments, feedback... whatever it is you are looking for or want to share with me.

Want to know more about me... who I am, my journey with my own SPD daughter, why I have written this site, etc.?  Then visit my I've Been There page.

As time allows I will answer your questions/comments/inquiries personally, but if I don't, know that you HAVE been heard.  Also, note that you will see a Feedback Survey on my site map.  If you want to use this to submit your feedback to me or to submit questions and ideas you have for my site, please do.  Just know that I cannot personally answer them as they are anonymous (no email address is attached to it, as it IS with the contact us form), but it is a GREAT avenue to express your needs, questions and thoughts so that I can address them in future pages/newsletters, etc.  Chance are... if YOU have a question, others are wondering the same thing!

If I don't get a chance to email you personally (which I DO try to do), know that you HAVE indeed been heard and your input IS valuable to me.

We are on this journey together, and together we WILL make a difference!

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to "getting to know you"!

And, don't forget to sign up for my Blog and RSS feed. Click on the appropriate buttons (at the bottom of my navigation bar) as to how you would like to receive the updates, changes, and new pages (including new questions and answers at The SPD Help Line) as they are added to my site! It's free and simple to do!

Joining you in your quest and supporting you all I can...
