Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, Faculty House, Columbia University, New York City, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m An intermediate-level workshop for parents of children with a sensory processing disorder (SPD) and clinicians treating children with a SPD. Featured speaker Britt Collins, M.S., OTR/L, guest speaker Lindsey Biel, OTR/L, and Jackie Olson, parent of a child with a SPD, provide a unique therapist/parent interaction. This workshop will present the latest research on sensory integration, the importance of movement in the home and school environments, how to create a tailored sensory experience for your child, and tips on seeking funding for the child.
