Self-induced vomiting

Hi, I am working with a nearly four year old child who demonstrates SPD as well as other issues. She has recently begun inducing vomiting each night when being put to bed. It has become a great concern for her parents.
It doesn't matter if they spend time with her before bed or not. Is it possible this is a sensory stimulative behavior, and if so, which system might she be trying to regulate?
