Tactile Defensiveness...how "strong" does it have to be to be considered?

After making the tactile defensiveness test, I realize I may have this condition. Since I was a little girl I would struggle with socks, shoes, long sleeved shirts, dresses and skirts. People touching me in the neck or trying to hug me from behind always ends in me accidentally hitting them to get away from them. Almost all the time I can´t tolerate this, unless it is for certain reasons that I must. I would like to know if any of you know how "sensitive" you need to be in order to call what is happening to me as tactile defensiveness.

I would also like to know if there are any therapists that can treat teens and adults because I´ve been trying to find something and there's only data about kids. An international OT directory would be great too, since I live in Mexico...

Thanks!

Iz
